ABC Transport Owner's Daughter, Ihuoma Julia Nneji Declared Wanted by Police Months After VeryDarkMan Called Her Out

The Nigeria Police Force has declared Ihuoma Julia Nneji, daughter of ABC Transport Plc founder Frank Nneji, wanted for criminal defamation, injurious falsehood, and cyberstalking, nearly a year after social media activist Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), accused her of attempting to blackmail a young man.

According to a police bulletin, Nneji, 34, faces charges linked to allegations she allegedly made against her ex-husband during a marital dispute, as well as claims of blackmail first exposed by VDM in September 2024.

The notice, authorized under Force Directive CJD No. 48, describes her as an oval-faced resident of Victoria Garden City, Lagos, fluent in English and Igbo. The public is urged to report her whereabouts via provided contact numbers (07097743460, 07036504370, 08037504833) or surrender her to authorities.

The saga began in September 2024, when VDM, in a viral TikTok video, accused Nneji—a U.S.-based travel nurse and heiress to the ABC Transport fortune—of attempting to blackmail an unidentified young man.

He claimed to possess evidence of her actions and issued a 24-hour ultimatum for her to apologize, warning her not to “disgrace her reputable family.” VDM emphasized he was “speaking out for the oppressed,” igniting widespread reactions on social media, with users applauding his stance or questioning the validity of his claims.

Nneji later sued VDM, alongside journalist Kemi Olunloyo and lawyer Henry Ikenna Uzochukwu, alleging defamation over their posts.

However, the recent police bulletin suggests authorities are now investigating her for alleged criminal conduct tied to the very accusations VDM had publicised, including defamatory statements against her ex-husband and the alleged blackmail scheme.
