Cross River State Governor Approves New Appointments


 The Governor of Cross River State, Senator Prince Bassey Edet Otu, has approved new appointments into various boards and positions within the state.


This was announced by Nsa Gill, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, in a press statement.


The Governor has appointed Professor Susan Etim as the Chairman of the Governing Council for the University of Education and Entrepreneurship in Akamkpa. She will be joined by Bishop Chris Obasse, Chief Otu Aya, and Dr. Richard Ogbeche as members of the council.


For the College of Agriculture in Obubra, Prof. Gertrude Njah has been named as the Chairman of the Governing Council. Prof. Irom Bassey Okey will serve as Provost, with Nuram Emmanuel Ntuyan, Chief Kingsley Bebia, and Barr. Lazarus Undie as members.


The Governor has also expanded the Governing Council of the University of Cross River State (Unicross) with the appointment of Catherine Ajibike (North) and Dr. Eddie Hogan as additional members.


In a related development, Father Bob Eta has been appointed as the Special Adviser to the Governor on TETFUND, a role that will see him overseeing matters related to the Tertiary Education Trust Fund.


All the appointments are effective immediately.
