Hon Natasha Osawaru and 2Baba |
Nigerian music icon Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba or 2Face, has finally broken his silence in a video, addressing the controversies surrounding his personal life.
The legendary singer, who recently announced his separation from his wife, Annie Idibia, took to social media to clarify the rumors about his relationship with Hon. Natasha Osawaru, a member of the Edo State House of Assembly.
In the video shared on his official Instagram handle, 2Baba not only defended Osawaru but also declared his love for her and his intention to marry her.
The statement comes days after 2Baba was spotted at the Edo State House of Assembly, where he caused a stir by appearing alongside Hon. Osawaru during a legislative session.
In the video, 2Baba expressed frustration over the “false narratives” and “malicious nonsense” that have circulated since he announced his divorce.
He emphasized that there is no ongoing conflict between him and Annie, stating, “Everybody’s gonna be alright. Everybody’s fine. There’s no fight. There’s no quarrel. There’s nothing. I said what I said. All of us will be alright. And all of us are working to do bigger and better things.”
The musician then turned his attention to Hon. Natasha Osawaru, who has been at the center of rumors and negative labeling. Describing her as a “young, brilliant, amazing young woman,” 2Baba vehemently denied that she played any role in the breakdown of his marriage.
“She has been charged. She has been called all sorts of names. She has been labeled as a home breaker. You know? She is a young, brilliant, amazing young woman. You understand what I’m saying? And she had nothing to do with, you know, what’s happening between me and Annie in our marriage. You know, she has absolutely nothing to do with that,” he said.
In a surprising revelation, 2Baba openly declared his love for Osawaru and his intention to marry her. “Yes. I love her. She’s amazing. She’s cool. You know I want to marry her. You understand what I’m saying?” he stated.
The singer also expressed frustration with the public’s tendency to speculate and spread unverified information. He humorously called for an end to the misuse of the word “allegedly,” even suggesting that legislative action be taken to curb the spread of baseless rumors.
“Everybody is hiding behind ‘allegedly,’ yeah. You know? So we need to do something about this ‘alleged.’ If you don’t know something, no talk. Coach person.” he quipped.
2Baba concluded his message by urging the public to focus on their own lives and avoid unnecessary interference in his personal affairs.
