Governor Otu Appoints Directors for Cross River Homeland Security Agency


 The Governor of Cross River State, Senator Bassey Edet Otu, has announced the appointment of three directors for the state’s Homeland Security Agency. 


The appointments, which take immediate effect, are aimed at enhancing security and emergency response across the state’s three senatorial districts.


The newly appointed directors are:

- Mr. Raphael Odu – Northern Senatorial District  

- Mr. Felix Arikpo – Central Senatorial District  

- Hon. Michael Nsan – Southern Senatorial District  


According to a statement released by Nsa Gill, the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, the Homeland Security Agency is tasked with ensuring the safety and security of residents, properties, and infrastructure across Cross River State. Its mandate includes preventing and managing emergencies, disasters, and threats that could disrupt peace and stability.


The agency will also collaborate with law enforcement agencies, disaster management organizations, and other state departments to strengthen overall security. Key responsibilities include intelligence gathering, crisis management, and public awareness initiatives related to security.


Governor Otu emphasized that these appointments are part of his administration’s commitment to addressing security challenges in the state while maintaining law and order.
