In a milestone ceremony at the Cross River State Police Headquarters in Calabar, 154 senior police officers were decorated with new ranks by the State Commissioner of Police, CP Gyogon Grimah.
The promotion, based on recommendations by the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Kayode Egbetokun, and approved by the Police Service Commission, highlights a commitment to recognizing hard work and dedication within the Nigerian Police Force.
The newly decorated officers included:
- 23 Superintendents elevated to Chief Superintendents of Police.
- 11 Deputy Superintendents promoted to Superintendents of Police.
- 120 Assistant Superintendents advanced to Deputy Superintendents of Police.
Addressing the officers, CP Gyogon Grimah urged them to uphold the Force’s Standard Operating Procedures and deliver exceptional service to the public. He emphasized that their dedication would strengthen the effectiveness of the Cross River State Command and contribute to the success of the Nigerian Police Force at large.
Speaking on behalf of the newly promoted officers, the Divisional Police Officer of Obudu Division, Teryima Dzungwe, expressed gratitude for the recognition and support. He pledged their continued commitment to upholding the values and responsibilities of their new ranks.
