Chidinma Adetshina, representing Taraba State, has won the prestigious title of Miss Universe Nigeria 2024. She triumphed over 24 other contestants at the grand finale held at Eko Hotel and Suites.
This victory is particularly significant for Adetshina, who recently withdrew from the Miss South Africa pageant due to controversy surrounding her Nigerian heritage. She proved to be a popular choice, securing the highest number of votes throughout the competition.
As Miss Universe Nigeria, Adetshina will represent the country at the Miss Universe 2024 pageant in Mexico later this year. She takes over the crown from last year's winner, Mitchell Ikachukwu.
Other notable winners of the night included Miss Anambra (first runner-up, Miss Supranational) and Miss Ondo (second runner-up, Miss Lush). Several contestants received special awards, including Miss Oyo (top model), Miss Imo (best costume), and Miss Abuja (best talent)
