Updated: More Winners Emerge In C'River APC House Of Reps Primaries


Some results of the Cross River State All Progressives Congress, APC primaries have been received by GRASSROOT REPORTERS.


From Akamkpa, our correspondent reported that Dr. Emil Inyang has emerged the flag-bearer of the party for Akamkpa/Biase Federal Constituency.

He defeated the former chairman of Biase, Hon. Ada Charles who recorded 0 vote while Rt. Hon. Mkpanam Obo got 3 votes.


From Ugep, our correspondent reported that the member representing Abi/Yakurr Federal Constituency, Hon Dr Alex Egbona emerged. winner. 


Dr. Egbona was elected unopposed.


For Calabar South/Akpabuyo/Bakassi Federal Constituency, the Speaker of the Cross River State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Joseph Archibong Bassey was elected winner.


Hon. Bassey was earlier disqualified by the Screening Committee over allegations of certificate forgery by his elder brother, Elder Joseph Bassey who claimed that the WAEC certificate he presented was his and that Hon. Bassey did not get his express permission to use it. 


He was however cleared by the Appeals Committee.


Reports reaching GRASSROOT REPORTERS has it that voting materials meant for Calabar Municipal/Odukpani Federal Constituency has been allegedly diverted to the residence of  former PDP Chairman, Ntufam Inok Edim, an aspirant for the Constituency.


Ntufam Edim emerged winner of the contest, defeating Mr. Joseph Bassey, Alice Ndem and Robert Disi.


For Ogoja/Yala Federal Constituency, incumbent member, Hon. Jude Ngaji scored 104 votes to defeat Caroline Okem who scored 1 vote.


Rt. Hon. Legor Idagbor was declared the winner of Obudu/Bekwerra/Obanliku Federal Constituency. He is currently the representative of the Constituency.
