C'River: I'm Not Part Of Your Consensus, I'm Still In The Race - Usani To Ayade, APC

Pastor Usani Usani

A governorship aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Cross River State, Pastor Usani Uguru Usani has dissociated himself from the purported endorsement of a consensus candidate for the party ahead of the primary election.

Recall that the APC had in a meeting, last week, nominated Senator Bassey Otu as its consensus candidate for governorship.

Speaking with Radio Nigeria in Abuja, Pastor Usani said that he was not invited to the meeting where such decision was taken and therefore, he was still in the race.

The former Minister of Niger Delta Affairs said he was contesting to be Governor to serve the people of Cross River state well, having gained experience in executive positions for about Thirty years.

On the zoning of the governorship to a particular area, Pastor Usani Uguru said zoning was not part of Cross River politics, especially the APC.
