C'River Electoral Commission (CROSIEC) Announces Commencement Of Electoral Activities For LG Elections

 

The Cross River State Independent Electoral Commission (CROSIEC) has announced the commence of electoral activities preparatory to the conduct of local government elections in the state.

Chairman of CROSIEC, Associate Prof. Mike Ushie made the announcement in a press release on Monday, which reads:

In compliance with the provisions of Section 28(1) of the 2022 Electoral Act as amended, which allow 360 days for the issuance of notice of election that marks the commencement, preparation, conduct and conclusion of electoral activities, the Cross River State Independent Electoral Commission (CROSIEC) hereby, today, Monday, 30th May, 2022 issue Notice of Election for the 2023 Local Government Councils Election in the State.

Accordingly, all electoral activities commences today culminating on Wednesday, 24th May, 2023 as the date for the Local Government Councils election in the State.

All Political Parties and other stakeholders are therefore requested to note and comply accordingly towards the successful free, fair and credible Local Government Councils election in the State.
