BREAKING: Sandy Onor Emerges PDP Candidate For C'River Governorship

The senator representing Cross River Central, Senator Sandy Ojang Onor has emerged the Cross River State governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, GRASSROOT REPORTERS reports.


Senator Onor defeated Senator Gershom Bassey, Rt. Hon. Daniel Asuquo, Sir Arthur Jarvis, Barr. Efiok Cobham, Mrs. Ima Nsa Adegoke, Am. Nkoyo Toyo and Coco Bassey, all from the southern senatorial district to emerge winner.


A breakdown of the votes shows that:


Gershom Bassey scored -175

Nkoyo Ntoyo scored - 4

Adegoke scored  -1

Daniel Asuquo scored - 147

Sandy Onor - 236

Sir Arthur Jarvis Archibong scored - 6

Mrs. Philia Henshaw Etim scored - 0

Mrs. IVA Esua scored - 1


His emergence may lead to many members of the PDP from the southern district defecting from the the party, as the leaders of the party from the south had maintained that the governorship should go to the south.
