APC Appeal Committee Clears Otu, Agara, Owan Enoh; Mum On Asuquo Guber Status (See List)

The All Progressives Congress has released the final list of candidates cleared for its gubernatorial primaries in Cross River State.

The list, sighted by GRASSROOT REPORTERS shows that the party cleared Senator Prince Bassey Otu, the consensus candidate of the party in the state who was earlier disqualified by the Screening Committee for failing to present his educational certificates.

Interestingly, the list also contain the name of Mr. Asuquo Ekpenyong Jnr, who has already been cleared to run for the senate.

Mr. Ekpenyong, who was aspiring for governorship, was not favoured by the APC consensus arrangement. He was rather told to run for Senate.

Those cleared are:

1. Senator John Owan Enoh

2. Chief Chris Agara

3. Senator Bassey Otu

However, the status of Mr. Asuquo Ekpenyong for governorship is not known as the party did not indicate whether he was cleared or disqualified.
