Tension In C'River As Court Set To Rule On Suit Seeking To Sack Governor Ayade Today

There is palpable tension in Cross River State as a Federal High Court in Abuja, will  today, April 6, deliver judgement on a suit  by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) against Governor Ben Ayade of Cross River, following his defection from the PDP to the All Progressives Congress, APC.

 Justice Taiwo Taiwo had earlier fixed judgement on the suit for March 25, 2022, but was later rescheduled for today.

The PDP, through its counsel Emmanuel Ukala, SAN, had filed the suit marked: FHC/ABJ/CS/975/2021 before Justice Taiwo to seek for an order sacking the governor and his deputy over their defection to the All Progressives Congress (APC), among others.

GRASSROOT REPORTERS gathered that security has been beefed up in the state capital to prevent any breakdown of law and order.
