C'River 2023: Owan-Enoh Formally Declares For Governorship, Says No One Can Do Better Than Him

 Former senator representing Cross River Central and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, Senator John Owan Enoh, has formally declared his intention to contest the 2023 governorship elections in Cross River.


Owan Enoh declared his intention before a mammoth crowd at the Ishibori Play Ground in Ogoja LGA, during an event that was preceded by a Mass at the St Benedict’s Cathedral also in Ishibori.


Senator Enoh said he has the capacity to do the job and no one can do it better than him.

 

He said his dream for the state is noble and will reinvigorate the state.


In his words, “I can do the job and believe no one can do this job the way I will do it.


“No one has the passion, staying power and commitment to service the way that I do.


“My vision for the state is as high as any noble dream can be and will yield a state that will live up to it’s full potentials.


“I will deliver a reinvigorated system that will encourage and support entrepreneurship, wealth creation, jobs and boundless opportunities”, he said.


He disclosed that Cross River State has politically equalised with all the zones occupying the governorship seat.


He added that the state achieved this by open competition and not zoning.

He called on the party to be very strategic, make the right choice and also choose a candidate who will bring momentum to the elections which will assist other aspirants also win.


He revealed that he has interfaced with the governor on his ambition and he will help the governor finish strong.


He emphasised that he is running for the office of governor to bring economic prosperity and provide solutions that accommodate everyone and also meet the basic needs of every one in the state.


Senator Owan Enoh also unveiled his manifesto, which he tagged “Towards A Great Society – The John Owan Enoh Manifesto.”


He promised to target measurable outcomes within his first four years in office.


These he listed to include growing the states revenue to N30 billion within two years, creating 20,000 jobs annually, making the state rank among the top ten most competitive states in Nigeria and also one of the top five net exporters of food crops in Nigeria.


He also promised that his programmes and initiatives as governor will be Accessible, Inclusive, Transparent, Collaborative, Result Oriented and Revenue/Funding Centric.


Senator John Owan Enoh was born in Agbokim Waterfalls in Etung LGA in 1966.


He has has at various times been a secondary school teacher, university lecturer, member of the Cross River State House of Assembly, Member of the House of Representatives as well as a Senator.
