During a consultative meeting with former Nigerian Minister of Works, High Chief (Dr) Emmanuel Nsan at his residence in Calabar, the philanthropist was described as intelligent, articulate and thoughtful young man who could turn Cross River State to one of the best states in Nigeria, by the elder statesman.

Dr. Nsan said Engr. Akak is the first aspirant who has visited him, expressing support for the governorship hopeful.

He said:

"He is an articulate young man full of rich contents. This has endeared many to him, including me."

Speaking, Engr. Akak said he is very passionate about the elderly and will ensure they are adequately taken care of if elected.

In a related development, the Member representing Bekwarra/Obudu/Obanliku Federal Constituency of Cross River State in the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Legor Idagbo has said that he believes Engr. Akak can be the governor of Cross River State so he should begin to prepare for the task ahead.

He made the statement when the frontline aspirant consulted him on his aspiration for position of governor of Cross River State in 2023 in his home in Calabar recently.

He added that if there is any aspiration that can be termed a movement, it is the Engr. Ben Akak aspiration which has metamorphosed into a natural movement of the people.

Speaking earlier, Engr. Ben Akak said the Ben2Ben Movement had toured all the industries in the state and has developed a roadmap for realising the maximum benefits of the industrialization agenda of the present Administration. He concluded that the movement has a three pronged focus for the economic development of the state going forward; the green, the blue and the digital economic focuses.

Some of those in his entourage were the member representing Etung State Constituency in the Cross River State House of Assembly Hon. Chris Njar Mbu, the former chairman of Obubra LGA Pastor Chris Obasse, the Senior Special Adviser Technical & Maritime Arc. Eric Akpo and many others.
