The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) Cross River State has reacted to the judgement of the Federal High Court in Abuja, saying there is no cause for alarm.

The Party assured its members that the appellate Court will do justice to the matter as it heads to the appeal Court immediately.

The court, in a judgement that was delivered by Justice Taiwo Taiwo, held that the lawmakers, having abandoned the political party that sponsored them to power, ought to vacate their seats.

In a terse statement by the Party's Publicity Secretary, Mr Erasmus Ekpang, the State Chairman, Alphonsus Ogar Eba Esq. was quoted as saying ..."the Federal High court judgment that was given against our law makers is nothing to worry about".

He stated further that, ..."we trust that the appellate Court will do justice as we file our appeal".

The Party's leadership in the State has urged APC members to stay calm and not be distracted.
