Governor Ben Ayade of Cross River State has denied ever saying he is not a registered member of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
A suit challenging his decampment and asking him to vacate his seat, instituted by the People's Democratic Party, is currently pending in court.
The governor reaffirmed his full membership of the party on Saturday, following viral report on social media that he denied being a registered member of the APC in a counter affidavit in response to the suit.
Governor Ayade described the rumour as cheap propaganda aimed at wooing APC members to PDP.
He said: "I am a bonafide and registered member of the APC. Stop the cheap propaganda aimed at wooing APC members to PDP."
