Youth Leaders Applaud Governor Ayade For Youth Inclusiveness, Stance On Returning Power To South

Youth leaders in Cross River State have applauded Governor Ben Ayade for his youth-inclusive policy and standing on the side of fairness and equity by insisting that power should return to southern Cross River.


In an enlarged stakeholders meeting held at Angles Bar, Atekong Drive, the youth leaders in their separate remarks, expressed appreciation to the governor for appointing more than 6,000 youths into his cabinet, the highest ever in the history of Nigeria.


Speaking at the meeting, Hon. Austin Ibok, Senior Special Assistant to the governor on Amnesty and Rehabilitation, thanked Governor Ayade for recommending the youths to various leadership positions across the country. According to him, it is through this that the potentials of the youths can be harnessed. He called on the youths to continue supporting the governor.


 The Speaker, Youth Assembly of Nigeria Amb Jacob Aidam in his speech, thanked the Governor for his youth inclusiveness and pledged his support for any candidate the Governor will bring forward.


Arc (Dr) Eric Akpo, SSA to the Governor on Technical Matters also  thanked Governor Ayade for giving the Youths a shoulder to lean on.


He applauded him for his wise decision of returning power to Southern Cross River State and for his believe in handing over to the younger generation through his 'YouthO'clock Agenda'.


Akpo said that the youths need new idea for governance in Cross River State, urging them to key into Governor Ayade's ideology.


He  tasked the youths to think and examine themselves on who to succeed Prof. Ayade,  and that the person must be fit enough to key into Ayade's industrialization legacy.


Also speaking  at the event, Comrade Dan Obo, the State Chairman, National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Cross River State Chapter, thanked the youths for their support in governance, expressing strong believe that 2023 is 'Youth O'clock'. 


Rt. Hon. Jimmy Gideon Mbukpa, Speaker, State Youth Parliament, thanked the governor for his love for the youths. He called on the youths to align and stand by the 'Youth O'clock' ideology.
