Barely a week after the Department of Mathematics in the University of Calabar was razed down by fire, another fire incident has destroyed one of the offices in the Department of History and International Studies, University of Calabar.

The cause of the latest fire outbreak is unknown as of the time of filing this report.
GRASSROOT REPORTERS gathered that the fire incident started in the early hours of Saturday, February 6, 2022.
Our correspondent gathered that students' files, chairs, fans, and office equipments were damaged by the fire.
This is the third fire incident in less than two months that has occurred in the university.
