Massive Sack Of Appointees Continues As C'River Governor Fires Agency Boss, Names Replacement

Barely 24 hours after axing two appointees and naming their replacements, Governor Ben Ayade of Cross River State has today, December 16 sacked Barr. Tony O. Odey as Director General of Anti-Narcotics and Drugs Agency with immediate effect, GRASSROOT REPORTERS reported.


A statement by Mr. Linus Obogo, Deputy Chief Press Secretary to the governor read in full:

"The State Governor, His Excellency,  Prof. Ben Ayade has approved that Barr. Tony O. Odey be relieved of his appointment as Director General of Anti-Narcotics and Drugs Agency with immediate effect.

"Consequently, the Governor has approved the appointment of Hon. Jacob lyaji Ogbor as the new Director General of the agency.

"Hon.  Ogbor's appointment is with immediate effect." The statement read
