The governor of Cross River State, Prof. Ben Ayade has sacked the state Commissioner, Local Government Service Commission and the Chairman of Cross River State School of Health Technology Board, Hon. Fabian Okpa with immediate effect. The governor also named replacements for the sacked appointees.
A statement by the Linus Obogo on behalf of Senior Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr. Christian Ita, on Wednesday, read in full:
"The State Governor, His Excellency, Prof Ben Ayade has approved that the following persons be relieved of their appointments:
1. Hon Fabian Okpa, Chairman, Cross River State School of Health Technology Board.
2. Hon Ofutane Paul Ogar, Commissioner, Cross River State Local Government Service Commission.
In a related development, the governor has approved the following appointments:
1. Hon Solomon Agjebe Ekam- Chairman, Cross River State School of Health Technology Board
2. Hon Patrick Nyong Oyi- Commissioner, Cross River State Local Government Service Commission
3. Engineer Mathew Fidelis Bassey- Special Adviser, Political (Central Senatorial District)
4. Mr Egbe Jabenco, Chairman, Anti Forest Deforestation (Central Senatorial Distract)
The appointments are with immediate effect.
