Engr. Ben Akak Mourns Sen. Wayas, Says His Death A Big Loss To C'River, Nigeria & The World

Dr. Wayas

The Chairman of Ben Akak Foundation has expressed sadness over the demise of the Senate President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Dr. Joseph Wayas.

Dr. Wayas died yesterday in a London hospital after a protracted illness.

Reacting to the sad news, Engr. Akak who is the Chairman/CEO of Bengies Group of Companies, a leading political light and hope of a better Cross River State, lamented that Cross River State, Nigeria and indeed the world, has lost a powerful force for peace, democracy and a stabilizing voice who believed in the unity, oneness and a prosperous Cross River State-and had at all times, in words and in actions, fought for a better Cross River State.

Expressing his innermost sadness about the demise of Sen. Wayas few weeks after the demise of another stabilizing voice, Gen. Ukpo; Engr. Ben Akak reminded those that were with him when the sad news broke that, even before Sen. Wayas was made Senate President in the second republic, that history had recorded that he was a tireless advocate for the unity, stability and progress of Cross River State and Nigeria. A voice who stood out for the voiceless and a man that had devoted all his time towards the eradication of poverty within our society and the upliftment of the most vulnerable amongst us.

He said that the death of Sen. Joseph Wayas has left a gaping hole among the ranks of political leaders in Cross River State, Nigeria and Africa as a whole, but that he is convinced that Sen. Joseph Wayas leaves behind a solid foundation for others to build upon.

He further enthused that he was inspired by the life story of the distinguished Senator and proud to have known him while he was alive.

In sympathizing with the governor, government and people of Cross River State, and most importantly the immediate family of the deceased, Engr. Ben Akak said that his thoughts and prayers, and that of his family, the Engr. Ben Akak Foundation and the entire team of Engr. Ben Akak Divine Movement, are with the governor, government, the people of Cross River State, and the immediate family members of the distinguished Senator

In consoling them, he reminded them that It is God that gives, and God has taken
