I’ll Turn-around Obudu Ranch Resort To World Class Standard Before December 2022, Says Ayade

Cross River state governor, Professor Ben Ayade has promised to turnaround the facilities at the Obudu Ranch Resort before December ,2022.

An indigene of the area, the governor said failure to fix the Resort before exiting office will amount to injustice against himself and the inhabitants of the Ranch community.

“if I don't fix the Ranch before I leave, whoever takes over after me might ask you the chiefs question which is, your son was Governor for eight years, what did he do for the Ranch? So I'm ready to fix the Ranch.”

Ayade who was addressing clan heads of the communities hosting the Ranch described the facility as "the most beautiful place in Africa.”

According to him, "investors from Switzerland are already at the Ranch to reconstruct and fix it and quote me, the facilities at the ranch will be latest and world-class at the end of the turnaround.

"They are going to conduct a study around the entire Ranch for rehabilitation, reconstruction and upscaling to modern facilities.

“It is important to note that the seven-man team came from different parts of the world, majorly Switzerland and they are already feeling like they were in their own country because the weather is the same.”

Earlier, the host communities speaking through their clan heads assured the governor of their unflinching support and commended his interest in the Ranch.

They also thanked him for constructing 147 kilometres of the road to link the five local government areas that make up Cross River North Senatorial district, a move they said would help boost the economy of the area.

According to them, the 300 hectares of potatoes farms donated by the Ranch community was already providing job opportunities for the young and old in the area.

They further announced "the donation of two cows- a male and a female- to start livestock farming in the Ranch.
