Calabar Port, Two Others Get New Managers As NPA Redeploy Officials

The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) have appointed three new port managers and redeployed others.


Ovbude Nelson Uwaifo, the Traffic Manager at Dangote Jetty, has been appointed Calabar Port Manager.


Acting Managing Director, Mohammed Bello-Koko made the announcement on Friday.


A statement by Olaseni Alakija, NPA spokesman said the rejig was to improve efficiency in the quest to become Africa’s maritime hub.


Yitnoe Stanley Magaji, MD’s Technical Assistant on Marine and Operations, is the new Onne Port Manager.


Buba Jibril, formerly Traffic Manager, LPC, moves to Tin Can Island Port as Port Manager.


Former Port Manager, Tin Can Island Port, Yunusa Ibrahim Anji moves to the headquarters as Assistant General Manager, Port Engineering.


Dantsoho Abubakar, former Onne Port Manager, becomes Technical Assistant to Managing Director on Special Duties.


Okaga Charles Bamidele, Principal Manager, Traffic, becomes Technical Assistant (Marine and Operations) to the MD.



Leoso Akintunde Oladipo, Principal Traffic Manager, LPC, assumes duty as Traffic Manager, Lagos Port Complex.


Furthermore, Aliyu Abubakar, Principal Manager, Traffic, Kirikiri Lighter Terminal, take over as Traffic Manager, Dangote Jetty, Lekki.
