Easter: Cross River Governor Orders Free Distribution Of Chicken

The Cross River State Governor Prof. Ben Ayade has directed the state commissioner for Social Welfare and Humanitarian Services to immediately, commence free distribution of chicken to some selected persons in the state for Easter celebration.

The beneficiaries of the governor's gesture, according to a release by the Special Adviser to the governor on Media and Publicity, Mr. Christian Ita, include: traditional rulers motherless babies homes, Bakassi internally displaced persons, Cameroonian refugees in the state, displaced persons in Danare 1 & 2 of. Boki Local Government Area.

The state government also announced the sale of chicken from its chicken factory, Calachika, at a flat rate of N2,500 from tomorrow, Sunday April 4 by 10am.
