Covid-19: Vaccination To Begin In Cross River As State Receives 58,840 Doses Of Vaccine


 


Cross River State on Wednesday, March 10, 2021, received 58,840 doses of AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccines.


The consignment was received by the State Commissioner for Health, Dr Betta Edu, in company of the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Eteng Williams.


Other dignitaries who accompanied the commissioner included the Director General of Cross River State Primary Health Care Development Agency (CRSPHCDA), Dr Janet Ekpeyong, Dr David Ushie, Bar Takon, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Health, WHO officials UNICEF Officials and NPHCDA officials as well as Directors from the ministry.


The arrival of the vaccines, the state is set to begin the vaccination of its residents against the pandemic.
