Don't Expect January Salary Soon, Our Computer Has Broken Down - C'River Govt To Civil Servants

The Cross River State government has given reasons why January 2021 salaries of civil servants in the state is yet to be paid.

The government said the salaries are being delayed due to the breakdown of computer systems it uses for the payment of salaries.

This was made known by the Accountant General of the state, Mr. Joseph Adie in an announcement on the state-owned radio, Cross River Broadcasting Corporation (CRBC) on Tuesday morning, February 2, 2021.

Mr. Adie pleaded for understanding and patience from the civil servants, while assuring that efforts are being made to resolve the technical faults.

“The state government will not be able to pay the January 2021 salaries soon. It will suffer some delays due to technical breakdown of the systems." He said.
