One Killed, Police Post, Filling Station Burnt Down In Odukpani

 


          A police post burnt down in Okurikang

There is palpable tension in Okurikang and Ndon Nwong communities in Odukpani Local Government Area following the death of a middle-aged man, identified as Koko, who was shot and killed at Okurikang Junction.


The incident which occurred this evening, October 24, was perpetrated by a yet to be identified gang.


GRASSROOT REPORTERS gathered that the gunmen also burnt down a police post and Eyo Filling Station, all in Okurikang community.


Koko, who was said to be a trader who trades in petroleum products (Black market), is said to be an indigene of Ndon Nwong, a neighboring community with Okurikang.


Okurikang, Ndon Nwong, Idim Ndom axis is one of the flashpoints  in Odukpani LGA. Several communities in that axis have been completely destroyed and deserted due to bloody communal clashes.
