I'll Be The Best Nigerian President Ever If Youths Support Me The Way They Support BBNaija - Yul

Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie says if he gets the kind of support Nigerian youths give to reality TV show, Big Brother Naija (BBNAija), he will be the next Nigerian president and the best ever.

Mr. Edochie who was reacting to a comment by one of his Twitter followers with a username, @agbator65, urging him to contest for the office of the President, said he will unite the country & appoint credible men and women to work with irrespective of tribe or religion.

The Twitter user wrote:

"Pls we need you as the next Nigerian president. U have been so out spoken about the ills and shit that's happening in this country... The country needs people like u. Other parts of the world, old men don't rule as president.. only Africa I see 90yr old men still crave for power.

Replying, the veteran actor wrote:

"If Nigerian youths will realise the power they have & support me the way they support BBNaija housemates I'll surely become Nigeria's next President & best President ever.

I'll unite this country & appoint credible men & women to work with irrespective of tribe or religion."

Yul had previously contested for the office of governor in Anambra, scoring just 145 votes. In 2018, he released a video announcing his intention to run for the office of the President in 2019 Presidential election but later withdrew from the race.

The 2020 edition of the show saw Laycon emerging winner. The organisers of the show announced that 900 million votes were recorded during the show, its highest ever.
