Breaking: President Buhari Suspends Acting EFCC Chairman, Ibrahim Magu

President Muhammadu Buhari has suspended the Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Ibrahim Magu.

According BBC Hausa, Mr. Magu's suspension was approved by the president today, July 7, 2020.

Mr. Magu has been in the storm following allegations of corruption leveled against him by the Minister of Justice and Attorney General, Abubakar Malami in a memo.

The embattled EFCC boss was alleged to have been detained last night by the Nigeria Police after honouring a panel invitation set up to investigate him.
