774,000 FG Jobs: Don't Go To NDE Office, See New Directive From FG On How To Apply

Festus Keyamo
The federal government has reacted to reports which went viral on social media, directing applicants for the federal government's 774,000 Special Public Works jobs to go to their state offices of National Directorate for Employment (NDE) to apply for the job.

The Minister of State for Employment, Festus Keyamo said on Saturday evening via his Twitter handle that intending applicants should not go to NDE offices for the application as this would breach the Covid-19 safety guidelines.

He urged applicants to disregard such messages.

The minister also denied reports that forms for the jobs has been given by him to ward leaders of the All progressive Congress (APC).

He wrote: "Kindly disregard all messages directing people to go to NDE offices to register for the Special Public Works. This will breach Covid-19 guidelines and it will not ensure we strictly achieve the 1000 per LGA. The selection will be done from LGA to LGA, not state offices of NDE"
