Suspected Cultist Who Is A Secondary School Student Arrested In Calabar


A secondary school student (name withheld) who is suspected to be a cultist and attempting to stab a fellow student has been arrested and  handed over to the men of the anti cultism unit of the Nigeria Police in Calabar.

The incident took place at the Government Secondary School, State Housing, Calabar, and the suspected student cultist is also a student of the school.

The Special Adviser to Cross River State Governor on Education, Castro Ezama who was in the school at the time of the ugly incident happened requested that they be handed to the anti cultism unit of the NPF for further investigation and possible prosecution, insisting the administration of governor Ben Ayade will not tolerate any form of Cultism and anti-social behaviours in the state school system.

Addressing Members of PTA after the incident, the SA advised parents to do more in grooming their Wards. He further enjoined them to compliment the role of Government in rendering support to the School where needed.

Recall that the the Special Adviser on Education, Comrade Castro Ezama visited the School barely a week ago for an on-the-spot assessment of activities in the School.

 During his address, he emphasised on the need for teachers to be vigilant on cult related activities currently in our Secondary Schools.
