Just In: Cross River State Government Suspends IPMAN Activities

The Cross River State government has suspended the activities of the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria, IPMAN, in the state.

In a release signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Christian Ita,  said the suspension is as a result of the leadership crisis plaguing the association, stating  that the suspension takes immediate effect pending the resolution of the crisis.

It further warned all factional executives to stop parading themselves as leaders of the association.

The association has been embroiled in leadership crisis with a faction led by Mr. Umana Edet and another faction laying claim to the leadership of the association. This has led to filling stations shutting down operations in the state, leading to fuel scarcity.
