Former Special Assistant to Gov. Ben Ayade on Technical, Arc. Eric Akpo has been awarded by the students of the University of Calabar for his excellent performance as SA to the governor and his contribution to the growth of the youths of Cross River State.
Presenting the award on behalf of the students, the president of the Students Union Government, Comr. Raymond Derek Moses extolled the leadership qualities of Arc. Akpo and his sterling performance which is evident in the industrialization drive of the governor. He thanked him for his numerous support to Cross River youths and for appointing Comr. Esuong Uwase, a youth, to lead Cross River Youth For Ayade and Atiku (CRYFAA) during the electioneering campaigns.
In his response, Arc. Akpo thanked the students for honouring him. He charged the SUG executives to look forward to carrying out projects that would stand the test of time. While pledging his continuous support for the students and the youths of Cross River, he charged them to take their studies serious as education is the bedrock of development.
